The Friends of the Oakley Library are on a mission to help find a new home for the Oakley Library which is currently located at Freedom High School. Their goal is to raise enough funds to build a stand alone library within the City of Oakley.

Yesterday, they held a Fun Run to help raise funds to build a new library. The event kicked off at 8:00 am with the 5k, 10k and walk at the Big Break Regional Shoreline with participants running along the Big Break Trail and Marsh Creek Trail. The kids run began at 9:30. In total, more than 200 people participated.
