Freedom High School held its 4h Annual Freedom Falcon Fest Wednesday evening where an estimated over 2,000 people attended to a variety of booths showcasing students accomplishments by and booths of interest by vendors.

“I was extremely pleased with last night’s Falcon Festival,” stated Erik Faulkner, Freedom High School Principal.

In an email to staff, he called this the best event they ever had and thanked everyone for providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees. He also offered thanks to the custodial staff for preparations and breakdown/clean up.

“It was wonderful to see the tremendous community support, from the students, families, and friends to the faculty, staff, vendors, and community groups.  All of the participants showed that spirit of Freedom and the Oakley community. How wonderful it was to see the Delta Science Center, You, Me, We = Oakley, PTSA, Patriots Jet Team, Athletic Boosters alongside our clubs, activities, academic departments, academies, and athletics.  I am very proud of Freedom and thankful to everyone who had a hand in making this event a huge success,” said Faulkner.

East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was also on hand to demonstrate the jaws of life while kids were allowed to check out the engine up close.
