Wednesday afternoon, the Oakley Police Department arrested a woman for child endangerment after driving through neighbor’s yards and eventually into her own garage.
The incident began after Oakley PD was contacted due to a line of illegally parked cars near the middle school. Oakley PD made contact with the first car in a line of illegally parked cars. In the process, a repossession agency arrived.
As a result, Oakley PD negotiated with the woman and the repossession agency with a result that would allow the woman to take her child home and the repossession agency would deal with the car there.
While in route home, some reckless driving on the part of the driver occurred and she drove through a neighbor’s yard and crashed into her garage door.
According to Oakley Police Chief, there were no injuries and she was arrested for child endangerment.
