Oakley: Two Injured in Thanksgiving Vehicle Crash

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District reported that two people were injured in a crash on Thanksgiving Day.

According to the fire department, they responded to E. Cypress Road near Knightsen Avenue around 9:30 pm where two vehicles were involved with two occupants requiring medical attention.  Firefighters reported major damage and requested a medical helicopter to the incident.

The District said one occupant was transported via medical helicopter while another was ground transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. No other details were released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Oakley Police Department who have released no information on the crash.
