Oakley: Traffic Stop Results in Drug Bust, Recovered Property

On Monday at approximately 4:00 pm, Oakley PD Officers made a traffic stop for a minor mechanical violation resulting in the seizure of drugs and cash.

Resulting from that stop was the seizure of Methamphetamine (over one pound), Heroin and Cocaine in sale quantities. Additionally, $77,000 dollars in cash was seized.

Jessica Mercado a 25 year old female from Oakley and Raymond Chase, a 23 year old male from Oakley/Antioch were arrested and booked at County Jail on charges of possession of narcotics for sale and probation violations.

On Wednesday, following up on Monday’s arrest, Officers from the Oakley Police Department executed a search warrant on a residence in the 200 block of E. Cypress Ave. During their search, officers recovered property which had been previously reported stolen.

Guillermo Rodriguez, a 25 year old male from Oakley was arrested for possession of stolen property at the location.

Put the hurt on them? They will be back out on the street this time next week back to slinging drugs as usual.
