Oakley Survey Seeks Input on the Impacts of COVID‐19 on Local Businesses

by ECT

The City of Oakley invites entrepreneurs, local business owners, and other interested parties to take a survey about the impact the COVID‐19 pandemic has had on your business.

The City of Oakley wants to hear about your experiences during the pandemic. What are your biggest challenges? What type of assistance would help most?

The survey is available to take now until Monday, November 1st.

To access, visit the City of Oakley’s website and click on the “Engage in Oakley” icon or click here. This business needs survey will help the City better understand what local businesses have experienced, as well as ascertain their recovery needs and help with community engagement.

The City has received funding totaling $10,177,190 through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which has established the Coronavirus State & Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) intended to provide support to local government in responding to COVID‐19 impacts.

Local governments are encouraged to use the Fiscal Recovery Funds to respond to the direct and immediate needs of the pandemic and its negative economic impact‐‐ particularly those on households and businesses that were disproportionately negatively impacted.

Some of the eligible expenses include:

  • Assistance to unemployed workers
  • Assistance to small businesses
  • Assistance to non‐profit organizations
  • Aid to impacted industries, including tourism, travel, hospitality and other impacted industries
  • Aid to disproportionately impacted populations and communities

The current step in determining how to best allocate funds is this business survey and we highly encourage interested parties to complete it.

To take the survey, click here. As of Friday, the topic has just 22 visitors and 3 responses.

I have no doubt that these buffoons will waste every cent of this money.
