Oakley Set to Award ARPA Grants to Non-Profits

by ECT

On Tuesday, the Oakley City Council is set to allocate a portion of its American Plan Act Funds to its grant program for local non-profits. The city allocated $180,000 to the program.

Back in April, the city issued its Request for Proposal and registered non-profits were invited to submit grant applications and were eligible to request up to $15,000.  The city received a cumulative request of $233,150 in funds—each application was reviewed by the council ad-hoc subcommittee.

The eligibility and proposal requirements included the following:

  • A complete and responsive application
  • Proof of 501(c)3 legal status equal under the United States Internal Revenue Code
  • Service to Oakley residents or businesses through their services or programs
  • Up-to-date filings (business license, taxes, etc.)
  • Capacity to administer grant funds in compliance with federal funding guidelines
  • Agreement to the terms outlined in the “Grant Agreement Template”
