Oakley Police Nab Burglary Suspects

The Oakley Police Department announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with a series of burglaries and vandalism around the City of Oakley,

According to police, on Wednesday, February 3, at approximately 5:20 AM, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Willowrun Way reference a theft from a vehicle. The reporting party explained that a garage door remote had been stolen from inside his vehicle and he was fearful the suspect(s) would return and possibly enter his residence. The suspect(s) were gone upon officers arrival, however they began driving around the area and interrupted a vehicle burglary in progress.

The two suspects, Vincent Garcia (M, 47, Antioch) and Theordore Johansen (M, 30, Antioch) were arrested without incident and further investigation revealed that they were involved in the theft of the garage door opener, as well as several other vehicle burglaries, mail theft, and vandalisms throughout the City of Oakley.

Garcia and Johansen were arrested on several charges including the possession of stolen property and possession of illegal narcotics.
