At about 3:53 PM Thursday, Oakley Police Officers were dispatched a report of a disturbance and fight on the first block of Amador Avenue.
Officers arrived at a home finding an injured man on the ground. Officers provided life-saving measures until the fire department and an ambulance arrived. The man, a resident at the home, was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
He is not being identified at this time.
This incident is being classified as a homicide. Crime scene technicians are collecting evidence at the location. Oakley Officers and Detectives are conducting interviews. Officers are currently detaining a man believed to be involved. No motive has been established yet.

The incident led to the lock down of Oakley Elementary after a subject fled the scene. He was reportedly caught near Oakley City Hall.
