Oakley Police Investigate Suspicious Circumstance at Orchard Park School

The Oakley Police Department is currently investigating a suspicious circumstance that occurred this morning at about 8 o’clock at the Orchard Park Elementary School at 5150 Live Oak Avenue in Oakley.

A 9-year-old female student reported to the school that an unknown person in a van drove into the school’s drop-off zone and offered to give her a ride. The girl refused the offer and reported this incident to staff at the school who called the Oakley police. The van drove away. Officers searched the area but were not able to locate the involved vehicle. Area law enforcement agencies were also notified about this incident.

The 9-year-old student described the driver as — African American male, 30’s, long braids or dreadlocks, green eyes. He was said to be wearing a white colored 49er’s baseball cap, a blue/white colored scarf, green jacket and black pants.

The vehicle he was driving was described as an older, blue colored van.

Name of school is Orchard Park School. It is a K-8 not an elementary school

A K-8 is an elementary school.

this just amazes me,one of god’s most precious gift’s could have been taken and harmed,And all you could write about is what kind of school this is.What the “HELL” has happened?

PARENTS….THER IS A MAN TRYING TO INTICE YOUNG GIRLS INTO HIS VAN….UNITE TOGETHER AND MAKE SURE YOUR CHILDREN ARE SAFE. GOD FORBID THAT HE ACTUALLY INTICE’S ONE.
