Really sad this happens in our beautiful town. I pray Oakley PD can find the shooter and justice is served. Oakley City council needs to wake up and get more officers on the ground.

I think Oakley has plenty of officers. They can’t be everywhere at once. I’m just glad this didn’t happen during the week while kids were at the Elementary School across the street.

They have plenty of police. The only way to stop this is for people to come forward with info on crimes and put these scum bags in jail. The mentality of “snitches get stitches” is the problem. Even family members are known not to get involved if one of their family is killed.

I laugh at how childish gangs are. Throwing their signs like a 5 year old. They don’t care about each other. Getting children to do their killing for them. They are not men, they are little childish immature sociopaths.

I really wish East County will come together to stop stupid people with guns from doing stupid things. I wish my prayers to the family and friends this evening. I thank you for your coverage East County, people really need to know how bad Oakley has become. Lots of things in Oakley go on and we never hear about them.

I really hate these types of articles with pictures. It makes everything seem so real. I feel terrible for the family. Oakley City Council needs to step up and give your PD more resources.

Right across the street from the elementary school and right next to the residence of a man who fatally stabbed someone in a Bethel Island bar a few years ago. I wonder if it’s part of the same family.

Bobby: Pictures “makes everything seem so real.” Guess what folks this is real. All of east county experiences this almost daily in one place or another. This isn’t new to Oakley either.

I walk my son to that school everyday. I feel so scared that this can happen when school is in session. This is one of the reason why we should demand surveillance cameras around the school site..
