Oakley Police Catch Shoplifter After Short Foot Pursuit

Shortly before 8:30 am Friday, the Oakley Police Department responded to a report of a shoplifter at Lucky’s who stole a cart full of baby items.

Police doing an area check off Oakley Road, spotted the suspect on Ventor Lane. The suspect then ran from police down Cantabury Lane and down Montevino Court before hopping the fence into Carol Lane Apartments.

About 10-minutes later, the suspect was then seen walking westbound on Windsor Lane where he was cornered and taking into custody without incident.
