Oakley: Man Gets Arm Caught in Machine, Helicopter Transported to Hospital

by ECT

At roughly 10:19 am, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a man who got his arm caught in a machine at a local scrap shop in Oakley on Main St. The man was immediately transported via AMR ambulance to Orchard Park School for helicopter transport to a local hospital.

Orchard Park School immediately worked to clear the field from children who were in the middle of PE and had a front row seat to the helicopter landing and man being taken from the ambulance to the helicopter.

From what we understand on scene, it appears the man could be in danger of losing his hand, if not entire arm.

We will update this story if more information is made available.
