Oakley Library Seeks Volunteers

The Oakley Library is looking for Summer and long term Volunteers Summer Teen Volunteers will explain Summer Reading program to participants; help library staff with record keeping; assist with programs and special events; help prepare crafts.

Teens must be dependable and responsible in their time commitment, and must be in 9th grade or above in the fall. Volunteering at the library is an excellent way to spend a few of your summer hours and contribute to your community library. Summer Teen Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 20 hours from June 12-July 16.

Long-term volunteers will help in mornings to locate and organize books.  Volunteers must be dedicated, good at alphabetizing and sorting by number, and able to volunteer for at least 1 year.

Interested volunteers should complete a volunteer interest form online or at the library.

Forms can be found at http://ccclib.org/donations/volunteer.html. A staff member will schedule an interview, followed by a mandatory training and orientation.
