Oakley Library Seeks Enthusiastic Summer Reading Teen Volunteers

by ECT

The Oakley Library is looking for enthusiastic and energetic teens to help library staff with the 2018 Summer Reading Program.

Volunteers will help prepare crafts and assist with programs, which include Virtual Reality and STEAM activities. Teens must be dependable and responsible in their time commitment, and must be in 9th grade or above in the fall. Volunteering at the library is an excellent way to spend a few of your summer hours and contribute to your community library.

Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 20 hours from June 12-July 17.

All interested volunteers must fill out an application and attend one orientation session. Orientation dates: Tuesday, May 29 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 30 from 3:30-4:30 p.m., or Friday, June 8 from 2-3 p.m.
