Oakley: Gunshot Victim Transported to Local Hospital

At 12:53 pm Sunday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a gunshot wound in the 2600 block of Dutch Slough Road at Harris Marina in the City of Oakley.

By 1:02 pm, Engine 53 that patient had been transported and was located at E Cypress and Franklin Lane and scene was secure per Oakley Police. AMR was also on scene.

A medical helicopter was requested to land at Delta Vista School off Picasso Dr, however, per AMR on scene, the helicopter was later cancelled after they opted for a ground transport to a local hospital.

The incident is still active and no further details have been provided. Given the location, its unclear if this shooting is in the jurisdiction of the Oakley Police Department or the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office.

In 2015 a Contra Costa County judge tried to release a sexual predator in an unincorporated part of the county on the 2400 block of Dutch Slough Road near Oakley. Boundaries have not changed so I don’t understand the confusion.
