At 10:38 pm Tuesday, the Oakley Police Department responded to a report of a female laying in the roadway on Empire Road at Gateway Drive.
Police say she was spotted by a bystander who was driving down the road who said she was laying in the gutter in the roadway. Emergency responders located her where she was suffering from injuries to her arms and was not able to speak at the time of the incident.
According to police, she was hit by a vehicle that was turning from Empire onto Gateway.
The 22-year-old female was is expected to recover but no further information was available on her condition.
