Oakley: Family Sustains Minor Injuries After Being Struck by Suspected DUI Driver

At 5:08 pm Sunday, the Oakley Police Department and East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of an overturned vehicle crash on Gardenia Avenue and Camelia Ct. in the City of Oakley.

It was reported that occupants in the overturned vehicle were trapped.

Upon arrival, officers located a two vehicle crash with one overturned vehicle. Officers quickly took a female driver into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence. The occupants in the overturned vehicle, an adult and two young children were freed and no extrication was required. They sustained minor injuries.

According to Oakley Police, preliminary information was that the suspected DUI driver was exiting Camelia Ct when it struck another vehicle traveling on Gardenia Ave.

No other information was available on scene.
