With the Mayor and two councilmembers expected to miss Tuesdays regularly scheduled Oakley City Council Meeting, the City sent out a notice of cancellation Friday.
Mayor Randy Pope is currently in China enjoying an 11-day all-expenses paid-trip to help bring foreign investment money to the City of Oakley. Two other councilpersons were also scheduled to be absent due to personal reasons.

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF THE REGULAR JOINT MEETING OF THE OAKLEY CITY COUNCIL/OAKLEY CITY COUNCIL ACTING AS THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Regular Joint Meeting of the Oakley City Council/Oakley City Council Acting as the Successor Agency to the Oakley Redevelopment Agency scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Oakley City Hall, 3231 Main Street, Oakley, California has been cancelled due to lack of a quorum.
A Special Meeting of the Oakley City Council/Oakley City Council Acting as the Successor Agency to the Oakley Redevelopment Agency is hereby scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Oakey City Hall, 3231 Main Street, Oakley, California.
