At 6:00 pm Wednesday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a rollover vehicle crash with rescue at E Cypress Road at Bethel Island Road in the City of Oakley.
While responding, it was reported that an elderly male was trapped and was in and out of consciousness from an airbag deployment.
By 6:12 pm, Battalion 5 arrived on scene reporting a vehicle off the roadway sustained major damage and extrication would be required.
In total, there were 3 patients who sustained injuries. One male who was freed from the vehicle was flown to a local hospital.
The crash is under investigation by the Oakley Police Department.
