Summer tournament fishing here in East County brings anglers from all over the country to the California Delta for a variety of events.
Between now and the end of September variety of solid events will come to the East County area. Just this weekend Dan’s Delta outdoors will bring their pro team series to Russo’s Marina on Bethel island this is their sixth event of the season.
Then of course is 4th of July week where visitors flock to the Delta for the holiday week and variety of celebrations just be sure to be responsible and where those life jackets as the variety of different types of boaters position themselves for multiple fireworks celebrations the end of the week is followed by back to back ABA events July 7th and 14th.
Then on July 21st Dan’s Delta outdoors brings their last Pro Am event of the year to Russo’s Marina on Bethel island this series has been a lot of fun for Anglers at all levels and we expect a solid turn out but this is just the tip of the iceberg bro what’s ahead.
Now Two of my favorite events of the year the Ultimate Frog Challenge and the Snag Proof Open. The UFC will be July 28th and 29th at Russo’s Marina. This event has grown over the years and continues to be many anglers favorite.
Then the following weekend The big one that has made from fishing tournaments across the country grow the Snag Proof Open.
Over the years I’ve been blessed with the support of Snag Proof and still have fond memories of the early days when we put out 300 boats for one of these events. You can bet this will be another well run event from the Fishing Instructor and his staff.
Dan’s Delta Outdoors Final regular Season Team event will Be and Open Event August 11th and Then Hook Line and Sinker 2-day Open will be August 18th and 19th. Still waiting on HLS details.
Then Let’s Skip right to the BIG one FLW Open September 27th through 29th. This fall Three day Major will be an absolute Slugfest with a variety of techniques going to come into play as angles from across the West Descend on the Delta for this event. Don’t forget they also have the Don Lee Memorial Event the week before (September 23rd) Also at Russo’s Marina.
So these summer opportunities are solid for anglers here in East County as angler’s from all over the West come out do enjoy one of the best fisheries in the country. Enjoy!
