Wow, Oakley has a bunch of party poopers to call 54 times about fireworks. Get a life

Fireworks are illegal in contra costa county.

Illegal fireworks are responsible for numerous injuries, fatalities and home losses across the united states.

In east county we have a shell of a fire department that is already stretched beyond limits. If it was your kid that blew his hand off or your roof that a bottle rocket lands on and ignites your home on fire do you think “get a life” would suffice?

So which part of illegal do you not understand?

Reporting fireworks is a waste of time unless they catch them in the act.

Fireworks are illegal in contra costa county. As long as the act is witnessed or evidence is located a citation or arrest can be issued. So no, they don’t need to be caught in the act.

So which part of illegal do you not understand?

Would you think it’s a waste of time if your pets were distressed? Your family member or loved one injured? Your home burned to the ground?

Are you even aware of our marginalized fire department?

Trying to educate the uneducated is often a waste of time but I made an exception.

The good news is that our calls in Oakley are much more surreal than Discovery Bay. There problems are laughable crimes like restraining orders, domestic disturbance, terrorist threats, pan handling, and harassment. Check those crybabies stats out. Those police need to help Oakley and Antioch instead of pacifying people where they play.

Chuck are you ever correct about ANYTHING?

Oakley and Antioch have their own police departments!!!!! Aka “Police”

Disco Bay is covered by county sheriffs.

Each community is covered (served and paid) by completely different authorities

Apples and Oranges.

Chuck Jul 10, 2014 - 5:39 pm

Erin, are you that much of an idiot ? First of all the comment was regarding the pettiness of Discovery Bay crime compared to Oakley and Antioch. Second, the Sheriff runs the Oakley Police Department AND Discovery Bay Deputies. If you pay attention you would notice that the Sheriff takes away the DB Deputy to go assist the Oakley PD and visa versa.

Trying to educate the uneducated is often a waste of time but I made an exception.

Well then you failed AGAIN Chuck.

First YOU wrote: “Those police need to help Oakley and Antioch instead of pacifying people where they play.” Your statement suggests several erroneous assumptions on your part. Not limited to the biggest gaffe that you believe the “police” all work for the same agency. They do not.

Second, Oakley PD is it’s own police department funded by the city. The officers work under contract This is nothing new and done in many cities.

I guess we all missed the part where you have been handed the responsibility to decide which crimes are important. Could it be because you wrote the book on fraud? Johnny, you do it everyday. Your mamma must be real proud of her idiot son. How’s that working over there in Knightsen? I hear not so well.

Sooooo, care to make another stupid assumption? You pretend to know a lot about nothing. Only a fool would do that. What’s your excuse? It’s anyone’s guess why you actively want to make YOURSELF look ridiculous.

Thanks for providing such a grand example for all to enjoy!!
