On Tuesday May 6, the Ironhouse Sanitary District Board of Directors will hold a public hearing to consider an adjustment in trunkline capacity and plant capacity fees.

The amount proposed are as follows:

  1. A $43 increase in the trunkline capacity fee, bringing the fee to $897.00 per equivalent service unit (ESU)
  2. A $226.50 increase in the plant capacity fee, which brings the fee to $4,668.50 per equivalent service unit (ESU)

According to a letter dated April 7, the proposed adjustments are meant to keep the fees in line with construction costs and inflation for the San Francisco Bay Area. The adjustments are based on the 5.1% increase posted in the March 2014 edition of the Engineering News-Record’s index of construction cost in the San Francisco Bay Area

For those looking to find data on this proposed increase, Ironhouse says it will be available for review at the Ironhouse Sanitary District office no later than April 21.
