The Friends of Oakley hosted their first “Wrap it up” event yesterday and their first audit of toys shows a need for age group 8-10 for both boys and girls according to Pat Anderson. Toys can be donated are a number of locations around Oakley (list shown below).
In keeping with tradition, the Friends of Oakley were able to register 300 families this year for their distribution set for December 14 which provides a meal and toys for kids.
For those looking to assist with present wrapping, they will host another event tonight and Thursday beginning at 3:30 to 6:30 pm at the Almond Grove Cafeteria at 5000 Amaryllis St. in Oakley.
