Resident Gives Kudos to Officer Wallace

Kimberly Munoz Greenlaw posted the following message on our Facebook Page:

I just wanted to give a public thank you to officer Wallace of the Oakley Police Department. Last week, my 15 year old son and his girlfriend made a very bad choice and instead of spilling all of what they did on a public forum, my intentions are to let everyone know that there are some officers who take teen issues seriously.

Officer Wallace listened to my concerns with patience, respect and understanding. Not only did he take our situation and not just brush it off, he also looked for these two kids for a couple of hours as he patrolled. He found them and called me, and he explained a few things to my son to help him see the error of his ways. Actually, he shook him up really well. I don’t think my son will be at all interested in running off any time soon.

So thank you, officer Wallace, and thank you, Oakley PD. I appreciate the way you dealt with this situation in its entirety. Job well done!!
