ECCFPD: Shed Fire on Brownstone Road

by ECT

A residential fire was reported around 10:45 am on Brownstone Rd. which turned out to be a shed fire behind a home. The flames were quickly put out with East Contra Costa Fire Protection District having engines 93, 94 along with with Contra Costa Fire Protection District Engines 88, 82, and 81 all on scene.  Since the fire was behind the home, I could not get  a clean shot, but I did manage to get the roof after the flames were put out.

A neighbor informed me that faulty wiring was the likely cause and there was nothing left in the shed.  The firefighters on duty would not speculate until an investigation was complete.

A majority of these photos were shot after the fire was contained and there was no immediate danger to the property or surrounding homes.

Well done. Knowing the area, lots to burn on that road.

Did we really need 5 engines? The grass is still green.

It’s standard on all fires…. the 2-antioch engines were out of there pretty quickly. Pretty much show up, parked, 3 minutes later or so they were on their way back.

Hey any pix of the house fire on Tule Lane in Knightsen?? Saw the glow grow from our house. All ECCFP engines and water tenders responded and a couple Con Fire units.
