On Friday, the Contra Costa Health Services reports there are now 8,760 cases of coronavirus resulting in 136 Deaths. In the past 24-hours, this is 216 new cases.
The county reported that 7,729 people have recovered. The county says they have provided 141,031 tests and 89 people are currently in the hospital. According to the county, the current testing positivity rate is at (not available)
On Friday, Contra Costa Health Services held a Press Conference after data was showing the community transmission of COVID-19 was accelerating and urged residents to follow local and state health guidelines to protect their family and community.
Recently, Contra Costa Health amended its social distancing health order to temporarily tighten face-covering requirements and prohibit indoor gatherings where there is elevated risk of spreading the virus.

No Children under 18 have died. More Deaths from Homicide than Wuhan. More Testing equals more cases but cases are not Deaths. 70% of all Wuhan Deaths were in Nursing homes. This is a shameful way to run this County. Healthy people ordered to stay in, while Bureaucrats KILL OUR ELDERLY.
