Computer Volunteers Needed at the Oakley Library

by ECT

The Oakley Library is seeking long-term volunteers who can dedicate a couple of hours a week to share their skills with those who need computer help.

Computers are more important today than ever before, but many still do not know how to navigate the web, let alone navigate around a screen, access email, or use a word processor. The library is one of the primary sources for those who do not own, and as our dependence on computers grows, so does the need for computer help in the library.

Volunteers must be 16 or older, service-oriented, and able to demonstrate computer competence and online navigational skills to people with diverse and varying skill levels.

For more information about the computer volunteer program, please contact Doug Thomas, Adult and Teen Services Librarian at [email protected] or (925) 625-2400.
