by ECT

The 17th Annual Cityhood Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at the Freedom Soccer Field (1050 Neroly Road, Oakley). This event commemorates both the anniversary of Oakley incorporating as a City in 1999, as well as our nation’s independence.

The event starts at 6:00 p.m. with free admission. Guests may purchase a $5 wristband which allows them unlimited use of the inflatable games, activities, and glitter tattoos. Children ages 5 and under can request a free wristband. Two booths will be set up for the sale of wristbands. Don’t want to wait in line? You can pre-purchase your wristband at City Hall now through June 30th.

All activities will close precisely at 9:00 p.m. in anticipation of the fireworks show which starts at approximately 9:30 p.m.

There will be a wide variety of vendors with goods for sale, including food vendors with tasty treats and dinner. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic dinners to enjoy the music and fireworks show.

NO ALCOHOL OR PERSONAL FIRE CRACKERS ARE PERMITTED.
