At 3:38 pm Tuesday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle crash at East Cypress Road and Jersey Island Road in Oakley.
Engine 94 (Knightsen) arrived on scene to locate a four vehicle crash and requested an additional ambulance and medical helicopter.
In total, there were 5 patients and a Tier O MCI was established.
According to Battalion Chief Jake Gonzalez, one patient who had traumatic injuries was airlifted to John Muir Trauma Center in Walnut Creek by CALSTAR1. One patient had moderate to minor injuries with 3 patients having minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation by Oakley Police.
