At 2:38 pm Friday, Contra Costa Fire responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Laurel Road in Oakley at the eastbound Highway 4 on-ramp.
Upon arrival, Engine 82 and Engine 93 of the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District located a fully engulfed van with all occupants out.
The incident shut down the on-ramp as crews worked the incident for about a half an hour.
Just after 3:00 pm, the on-ramp was reopened for traffic.
