Oakley Police Nab “Smash and Grab” Burglary Suspects, Recover Other Property

The Oakley Police Department arrested three suspects Wednesday morning in connection with a residential burglary and commercial burglary.

On February 27, Oakley Police Department Officers responded to the 600 block of Chandon Ct for a reported residential burglary. Officers working with the victim in the case developed information on the whereabouts of some of the stolen property.

During the investigation, property was recovered. Mr. Alfred Noblitt, a 37 year old male, was arrested on charges of possession of stolen property.

This morning shortly prior to 8:00 am, Officers responded to the 1600 block of Main St for a commercial burglary. The victim reported several fishing rods were stolen during the commission of the crime. At approximately 8:15 AM an Oakley Police Officer made a traffic stop on E. Cypress Rd, near Main Street. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the Officer noted several fishing rods in the vehicle. The victim in the commercial burglary responded and identified the property as being stolen from him earlier.

Additional property found in the suspect vehicle was also identified as being stolen earlier from the Chandon Ct location.

William Boyd, a 36 year old male and Jeffrey Erck a 25 year old male, both from Brentwood, were arrested for commercial burglary and possession of stolen property. They were booked into County Jail.

Dan Mathisen of Dan’s Delta Outdoors thanked Oakley Police for their efforts.

“It’s great when your police department knows about the people around time and can solve things quickly by understanding the community, ” said Dan Mathisen, owner of the store. “I really love and appreciate their services in recovering items from the store. It’s important that we have a police department who can take quick action and get criminals of the street.”
