Oakley: Firefighters Quickly Knock Down Car Fire

At 1:49 pm, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a residential structure fire on Vine Hill Road off of Oakley Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a vehicle fire in the driveway. Firefighters from Station 93, Oakley, quick extinguished the fire before damage to the home could occur.

Engines 93 and 94 from ECCFPD responded along with BC 5 along with CONFIRE Engines 81 and 88. Units were quickly released after the fire was extinguished.  All units were off scene in 69-minutes.

The District has not yet released a cause of the fire at time of publication.

You got that right. Mr. Simmons if you are paying attention to everyone’s safety and not just yourself, Oakley and Bethel Island have had two serious fires in the past few days. Its nice to know someone has 93’s back.
