The City of Oakley reminds residents that that Brookfield Norcal (the project developer) will start the
construction of improvements on East Cypress Road along the frontage of its subdivision on March 23rd and this work is expected to continue until mid-July.
The improvements on East Cypress Road will include roadway widening, curb, gutter, sidewalk, and median construction on north side of East Cypress Road along subdivision frontage (this will be similar to the construction work that was recently completed on Laurel Road (between O’Hara and Rose).
Hours of work will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. East Cypress Road will be kept open to two way traffic during this construction work and a traffic handling plan will be implemented during this construction work. Electronic message signs will be installed at each end of the project site of East Cypress Road to inform the public about possible traffic delays.
