Tri Delta Transit Set to Return to Full Service on July 4

by ECT

On Monday, Tri Delta Transit announced it will return to full service on July 4, 2021.

The district said riders should look for a new schedule at www.trideltatransit.com, download transit or use the February 2019 paper schedules–the bus shelters should also reflect the correct times. MASKS are still required on all public transportation.

Along with the return, all fixed route, paratransit, and Tri MyRide buses are equipped with WiFi. WiFi enabled vehicles are one of many technological advancements for Tri Delta Transit.

Last April, Tri Delta Transit reduced service by 30% due to impacts of COVID-19 and the mandated Shelter-in-Place. In March, they announced Friday that all fares on buses will be free and in an effect to ensure social distancing, boarding buses will be through the rear door unless they require a wheelchair ramp–however, in January, fares resumed.

Tri Delta Transit provides over 2 million trips each year to a population of over 315,000 residents in the 225 square miles of Eastern Contra Costa County. They currently operate 15 local bus routes Monday – Friday, 5 local bus routes on weekends, door-to-door bus service for senior citizens and people with disabilities, on-demand rideshare services and shuttle services to community events.
