Senator Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) issued the following statement regarding an article in the Sacramento Bee claiming he was traveling to Europe to visit Germany and Switzerland.
“The Sacramento Bee – Capitol Alert ran a story today claiming I was part of an international trip organized by the Senate. I want to clarify that I will not be leaving California while the current BART labor dispute is resolved. Many of my constituents rely upon BART every day, and I felt it inappropriate to leave the country at this time.”
