At 12:19 pm Monday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of an overturned vehicle on Highway 4 near Auto Center Drive.
According to CHP, the incident was blocking the No. 5 lane of traffic.
Truck 83 arrived on scene reporting two vehicles were involved and no extrication was needed, however, units on scene were requested to block the scene. An additional AMR unit was requested for a total of two to the scene.
A total of 4 patients were reported, 2 adults and 2 juveniles.

Four “patients” were reported? How do you know those 4 were patients? Were they all heading to medical appointments?

So if I were in a wreck and placed into an ambulance, where do you think they are taking me? Last time I checked they don’t take you home or to the location you were heading before the wreck!! So, they are taking me to a hospital, so yes they are going to a medical appointment. It wasn’t a planned medical appointment, but the ambulance already notified the hospital that a patient will be on their way. Hey Ginger, when someone is in an ambulance or is being attended to by paramedics they are referred to as a “patient” — a simple medical term. So get off your kick about the use of the word. They were four people in a car, most likely with an idiot behind the wheel driving way too fast, like they do on 4 out here, and he lost control and “car go boom, oopsie”.

They are patients to the medical personnel on the ambulance, but let me guess they are not medical personnel because they don’t work with Ginger.
