The following is a sampling of the Brentwood Police Calls over the weeks reported January 11-17 which focuses on the higher priority call responses in the City of Brentwood.
Burglary in Progress Arrests: On Jan 19, Brentwood Police responded to a report of a theft in progress in the 400 block of Beatrice Court–they were alerted by an alert citizen. Police officers arrived on scene where they detained Luis Montalvan-Kuan (City of Oakley); Vanessa Santos-Martinez (Oakley), Carlos Prado (Oakley), and Teri Kyle (City of Antioch). Officers determined that tires had been stripped from one vehicle and there was damage to another vehicle as well. All four subjects were placed under arrest for several charges including probation violation, vandalism, receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and other related charges. They were transported to Martinez Detention Facility.
Shooting Update from was the Jan 9 fatal shooting at an apartment complex., the Brentwood Police Department responded to the 160 block of Sycamore Avenue where a Turlock man was shot and killed. The suspect was identified as Israel Resendiz, 18 year-old Brentwood resident. He has since been charged with murder and a gun enhancement by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. Israel Resendiz remains in-custody with bail set in the amount of $2,000,000.

- 1/13 – Sand Creek Rd: 4 FEMS AND 1 MALE GRABBED AT LEAST $20K-$30K WORTH OF MERCH – TOOK OFF IN A DRK GRY SEDAN POSS MAZDA UNK PLT.
- 1/17 – Sand Creek Rd: LEFT IN A WHI JETTA W/TINTED WINDOWS.
Identity Theft
- 1/13 – Poppy Dr: PERSON BOUGHT A VEH IN VEGAS USING RPS INFO.
- 1/13 – Brentwood Blvd: VEH TOWED ON 1/9/2022. PER RP BOTH PLATES WERE ON VEH AT THAT TIME. REAR PLATE TAKEN. CALLED IN PTOW ON 1/8/2022 FROM THEIR LOC FOR THIS VEH AND SAID ONLY REAR PLATE WAS ON VEH. ASSOC VEH 2008 HONDA CIVIC

- 1/11 – Lone Tree Way: SOMEONE BROKE THE PADLOCKS TO HIS TOOL CABINETS INSIDE HIS GARAGE
- 1/11 – E Country Club Dr: PACKAGE STOLEN OFF PORCH
- 1/12 – Suntan Ln & Centennial Dr: NEAR THE SOUTH GATE – COMMUNITY MAILBOX BROKEN INTO, UNK IF ANYTHING IS MISSING BUT RP SAW MAIL TRUCK OUT EARLIER.
- 1/13 – Second St: WMA 40’S PUTTING ALCOHOL INTO HIS POCKETS. L/S BLUE SHIRT SCARF AND BLU JNS. LEFT ON A BIKE TWDS THE BACK OF THE BLG. RP SAID HE HAS BEEN 602’D BEFORE. HAS 422’D EMPLOYEES IN THE PAST.

- 1/16 – Lone Tree Way: SUBJ WALKED OUT W/ ITEMS AND PUSHED THE RP. BMA, 506/UNK , BLK SHIRT W/ BRIGHT YEL CONSTRUCTION VEST, BLU JNS, BLK/WHI SHOES. WALKED TWDS THE BACK
- 1/16 – Lone Tree Way: RP’S COWORKER CAUGHT SUBJ/WMA GOING THRU RP’S VEH /SIL TRAILBLAZER – WHEN COWORKER CAUGHT SUBJ, SUBJ TOOK OFF RUNNING AND NOW APD IS OUT W/ SUBJ.
Robbery – no weapons, strong arm
- 1/13 – Officer initiated activity at Lone Tree Way, Brentwoo
Vehicle Tampering
- 1/12 – Downie Point / Stonehaven Dr: RP JUST DISCOVERED VEH DOOR LOCK IS BROKEN AND IGNITION IS SMASHED INTO PIECES ON THE FLOOR.
