The following is a sampling of the Antioch Police Calls reported between January 9-15 which focuses on the higher priority call responses in the City of Antioch.

Antioch Police Nab Burglary Suspect

A suspect who allegedly had burglarized a local Antioch business several times over the past week was arrested on Friday in the City of Antioch. Antioch Police Department records show Jesse Potteet, 30, was arrested for burglary and in possession of burglary tools on on W 19th Street and C Street at 4:00 am.

Antioch Police Department spokesperson Darryl Saffold confirmed the arrest and stated he has previous convictions for burglaries but did not say how many. Saffold also said due to COVID protocols, he was already released from the Martinez Detention Facility.

According to the business who was targeted by Potteet, they captured him on video and had filed multiple reports over the past week. The business estimates its loss was more than $20,000 in tools and damages to work trucks.
