Dan’s Delta Outdoors 2015 Striper Series kicked off Saturday at Big Break Marina in Oakley with 20-boats participating. In total, three teams submitted qualifying fish.
Ryan Hulbert and Jesse Schryuer (photo above) weighed two fish of 30 1/4 and 30 3/4 for 61 total inches earning 1st place $500 dollars.
Justin Comages and Gabe Comages measured one fish 37 1/2 inches for second place and $300 dollars.
Kenny Schmitt and Chuck McCartney rounded out the check line, with a 30 and 5/16 striper earning 3rd and $200 dollars.
The tournament is designed as a catch-and-release to protect and preserve Striped Bass–participants may keep their catch for personal consumption under DFG Rules if wanted. The series is a $50 buy in entry fee for the tournament and 100% payback.
