Just after 9:00 pm Monday, Contra Costa County firefighters were dispatched to a report of a multi-vehicle crash on eastbound Highway 4 at Bailey in Bay Point.
It was reported that as many as five vehicles may be involved as units arrived on scene.
By 9:25 pm, a third engine was requested for blocking and a 3rd AMR unit was also requested to the scene.
By 9:30 pm, CONFIRE stated there were 6 total patients with 2 patients in critical condition and a 4th AMR unit was requested to the scene.
By 10:19 pm, all 5 lanes were open

What IS IT with that part of Hwy 4 which always has cars crashing both east and westbound? Not a week goes by without part of that freeway shut down because some idiots don’t know how to freakin’ DRIVE!
Someone starts the reaction. What happens to that person after the investigation is over? Are they just let go?
