On Thursday, Governor Gavin Newsom announced a Statewide order to stay at home beginning this evening in an effort to bend the curve against the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Earlier in the day, it was stated in a letter to President Donald Trump, Newsom warned the president that roughly 56% of the California population will be infected with the virus over an 8-week period.
Shortly before the press conference, Newsom tweeted out that it was a mandatory stay at home order and those that work in critical sectors should go to work. Grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and more will stay open. We need to meet this moment and flatten the curve together.
During the press conference, when asked how long the order would last, he said it was “open-ended” due to it was a dynamic situation. He didn’t expect it to be many months, but could be up to 8-weeks.

On Tuesday, the Governor announced he believed schools may not re-open before summer break giving parents time to plan ahead. This week, the Governor also issued an Executive Order to protect renters and homeowners

Cuomo’s going to have to 1-up this somehow, to which Newsom will have to raise the bar… somehow; because this is just a political 1upmanship game that we are pawns of; because they’re both each others opponent running for President in 2024.

I have disagreements with Democrats especially with Newsom, but I stand with Newsom on this. Newsom should go farther and close the states border. If people want party on Florida beaches then by all means, but don’t bring whatever you got here.
Newsom with his fake smirk while he half smiles what people want to hear. One of the most fake politicians of all time. The Borders are all closed by our president whom also is sending up to $3,750. Dollars to families who work and pay taxes. Action like our President is doing not lip service like Newsom. Newsom is just a fraud getting a pay check from us.

With so many people out and about, it’s obvious they are not taking Newsom’s order to heart! There should be 3-4 cars on any street or road. The rest should stay in their garages or driveways. All food should be delivered and no one should be standing in line at COSTCO or WINCO … Other than people bicycling for some exercise ALONE … the cops or National Guard should maintain blockades. Send people back home. most places are shut down. They can work out of their houses … unless they are firefighters or cops.
