Female Shot Early Saturday Morning in Walnut Creek

by ECT

At approximately 2:00 am Saturday morning, Walnut Creek Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the middle of the street near Pine Street and N. Main Street.

A female victim was located on the ground bleeding from the head. A male on scene was standing next to a vehicle and stated the female was his girlfriend. He was being reluctant with information regarding what occurred.

Observant officers looked inside the vehicle and in plain view was a firearm on the backseat. Officers safely secured the firearm and the male was detained without incident. The male was subsequently arrested for being a felon in possession of an unregistered firearm and ammunition. Further charges are pending with investigation.

According to a witness, there was possibly an altercation between the couple and another party prior to our officers arriving on scene.

The firearm was a silver 9mm Ruger SR9 with a plastic unserialized lower. A 27 round magazine with nine 9mm rounds were loaded and one was chambered. This type of firearm is commonly referred to as a ‘Ghost gun.’

This investigation is still on-going.

Pro-tip, dipstick. “Ghost guns” don’t say RUGER on the side. This is a STOLEN, ILLEGAL, GHETTO, gun owned by a FELON. If this is the kind of trash that is making it into Walnut Creek because the Police are not allowed to do their jobs because systemic racism, AOC, and BLM, then maybe the LAW ABIDING GUN OWNERS, whom Lefties like you are trying to disarm need to start packing to protect themselves. FAILED. PROGRESSIVE. POLICIES. again.

You gave yourself away when you used the word “ghetto” you racist trash. The people you call liberals are educated citizens who know that crime is multifactorial, stemming from a terribly unequal distribution of resources leading to lower access to quality education, the gutting of mental health services that began during the time of your demented actor wanna be president Regan, policies from repubs fighting against gun control, and the social and financial inequities that are growing exponentially from unbridled capitalism. I’ll give you time to look up some words.
