On October 1, at approximently 7:00 p.m., Walnut Creek Police Department Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a vehicle versus pedestrian collision at the intersection of N. California Blvd. and Civic Dr. Officers arrived at the scene within a minute of being dispatched.
The pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross N. California Blvd.
The woman sustained major injuries and was transported by an ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect vehicle fled prior to Officers arrival. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a gold or tan, four door sedan.
