In 2:39 am Monday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a commercial structure fire at Willow Pass Road and Waterworld Parkway.
CONFIRE arrived to Lins Buffet with heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters had to take a defensive fire attack due to the amount of flames already inside the building. The building was vacant and no injuries reported.
No other information was readily available or the cause of the fire.

Nothing at all suspicious about a buffet restaurant burning down in the middle of the night, during a pandemic. ?
Why do I always think of Insurance fraud when these stories of businesses catching fire early in the morning…lol. I think I’ve watched Goodfellas too many times.
They were not doing very well from the time they bought the place. Before that, the place had semi-decent food. Afterwards, not so. If you don’t see Asians eating there, you know the food sucks. We ate there three times and the place had very few people dining even at a time where other nearby restaurants were full. That’s how we wound up there in the first place. I’m not surprised that a fire started.
There’s something about that site that is a curse. Even the good restaurants that have occupied that building have failed. Perhaps the ghosts will be appeased.
