Congressman DeSaulnier Statement on Impeachment Vote

by ECT
Rep Mark DeSaulnier

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) issued the following statement after voting in favor of articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump (H.Res. 755) for high crimes and misdemeanors. Both articles passed in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“The reality and urgency of this moment could not be more consequential to American democracy. President Trump violated the law by soliciting foreign interference in our elections,” Congressman DeSaulnier said. “With the President’s pattern of escalating behavior, failing to hold him accountable for his actions will lead to more violations. This President is a threat to our national security. That is why today I voted to defend our democracy, uphold our oath of office and the Constitution, and impeach President Trump.”

This impeachment will devastate the Democrat party in 2020 and beyond. It will also have the backfiring effect of corruption charges against numerous Democrat FBI agents and other government officials. The real crimes were committed by Democrat partisans worried that Trump might actually win the 2016 election.

DeSaulnier spoke his instructed vote just like the ducks. Selfserving leaches suckled on the government taxpayers wallet. The amount of waste and damage to our country is unacceptable. These do nothing dems are bringing this country down. I hope the voters smarten up. If the house is taken back this country will move forward and allow a prosperous future. If not socialism will take over and the country will fall. Let it be said, let it be written. Vote these puppets out.

Just in case you skipped your American History class, Impeachment means absolutely nothing unless the Senate convicts and that’s not going to happen.

Impeaching this President has just assured next years election so keep laughing all the way up to November 2020 when Trump is RE-elected!!!!!

Your life will still be the same no matter what the heck happens in D.C. They don’t care about us!

Don’t laugh Dana… not yet.
“The Constitution does not consist merely of the vote by the House, but of the process of sending the articles to the Senate for trial. Both parts are necessary to make an impeachment under the Constitution: The House must actually send the articles and send managers to the Senate to prosecute the impeachment. And the Senate must actually hold a trial”…. so, until that is done Trump has not been officially impeached. That’s right! No impeachment for Christmas. Better start flooding Pelosi’s office with calls and telegrams!
