Brentwood and Oakley Set to Host Home Decorating Contests for Halloween

The City of Brentwood and City of Oakley are holding their annual Halloween Home Decorating Contests to help communities get in the Halloween spirit which are open to their residents.

City of Brentwood details

Apply for the Brentwood Neighborhood Committee’s Halloween Home of the Season home decorating contest! Apply online at https://forms.gle/zUxooi9K85SwRcYF8 by October 19 at 9am.

Entry addresses and at least 1 photo will be posted on our FB page by Oct 22, and the public will vote for their favorite house. Entries must have lights on from Oct 23-30 from 6-9pm. Winners will be notified on Oct 31.

First place prize: $100 DoorDash gift card & $20 Google Play gift card, July 4th parade entry

Second place prize: $50 DoorDash & $20 Google Play gift card, July 4th parade entry

 

City of Oakley Details

Oakley residents are invited to decorate their own “haunted homes” and submit them to the city’s contest. Bring out the spider webs, goblins, and ghouls to decorate your house!

Decorations installed by a professional service will not be eligible. The contest is open to any home within the City of Oakley limits. Limited to the exterior front yard and roof only. Entries will be posted online for the public to vote on.

This year we will accept video submissions, or a single photo. You must submit a download link, and videos must be 1 minute or less in length. If the link you provide does not meet the submission requirements you will be contacted to correct the issue before the deadline of October 22nd. If you are unable to provide a photo or corrected link you will be ineligible for participation. Videos must be of your decorations only no added graphics, text or music.

Entry Deadline: October 22nd, Winner Announced: October 30th
