Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff. Law enforcement officers are currently searching for a missing person believed to be in the area of Willow Pass Road and Port Chicago Highway in Bay Point. The individual is Elke Jones, a white female adult, 79 years old. Elke is 5 feet 7 inches tall and and weighs 130 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes.
Elke is wearing a black sweater over a blue floral shirt, black pants and white shoes. Elke is carrying a black purse and has a cane. Elke responds to her name or to “Mimi.”
Elke was last seen at 210 Franklin Avenue in Bay Point at 6:30 on Saturday evening. Elke is believed to be at risk due to dementia, which is worsening.

MISSING PERSON ELKE JONES HAS BEEN LOCATED. After the Community Warning System message went out this morning, a citizen called Sheriff’s Office dispatch to advise Jones was seen last night on Pacifica Avenue. Deputy Sheriffs conducted a door to door search and found her. Jones was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Thank you all for your interest and for sharing this post.
