Update: Children and Mom Found Safe After Amber Alert Was Issued

Updated: – Within hours after a statewide Amber Alert was issued, three children and their mother were located safely and the alert was cancelled around 1:00 am Tuesday. It’s being reported that they were found in Richmond. (7:45 am)

Original Alert

On June 8 at 11:30 pm, three children were abducted from San Pablo and a statewide Amber Alert was issued.

The children and their mother went missing after a man was found shot to death in San Pablo on the 1600 block of 16th Street this morning at roughly 7:55 am.

An Amber Alert has been issued for:

  • Hugo Anguiano, 12 year old Hispanic male with unknown descriptors and unknown clothing description.
  • Merari Anguiano, 6 year old Hispanic female with unknown descriptors and an unknown clothing description.
  • Jenh Carlos Anguiano, 3 year old Hispanic male with unknown descriptors and unknown clothing description.

The suspect is Alicia Ortez, a 35 year old Hispanic female who is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes with an unknown clothing description.

The three children lived with the man, and the mother lives separately, police said. It was not known where the children were at the time of the shooting. She is from the San Pablo-Richmond area. Police believe she is with the children.
