Yet not a mention on the eastbaytimes/merc news website. If this had happened in Antioch it would be front page news already. They’ll report it in a couple of days and It will get pushed to a back page quickly.

Can you guess where the editors and most of the staff lives?

Gotta keep those property values up…

what do you want to bet the animals that did this and the “victims” were from Antioch, lib?

Larry P Jul 18, 2021 - 9:37 am

Don’t be a fkin’ retard. “lib?” it’s not about liberal or conservative its about advertising .
The same people who DRIVE TO Antioch to commit crimes drive to the other cities. Most of them have lived in many cities by the time they are 25. The media picks the convenient city “they are from” to fit their agenda.

If you are conservative you should understand that more than anybody. If you’re a fox drone than I understand and feel sorry for you.

I am willing to bet that someone from Antioch will be a part of this story.

Shannon Costa Jul 18, 2021 - 10:09 am

Although you claim they will be “from” Antioch, you must realize over 50% of Antioch’s population is NOT from Antioch…. They migrated there from surrounding areas for the last 15-20years for the cities unlimited section 8. Which is why that town has SO many issues now.

Thanks for the history lesson, but it doesn’t change today in 2021.

Don’t worry, The media will come through for you. Though they may live in Walnut Creek now, I’m sure the media will pick a city from one of the many cities these people have lived in to make sure you click on the link and they get the advertising revenue. They love people like you who wait on their every word.

Funny to see so many WC/Claycord folk commenting on the East Bay sites.
I guess the truth hurts when it hits close to home, gotta blame someone I guess.

Oh and by the way the “truth” is: Crime is everywhere.

Not really, Larry. I have relatives and friends living in Alamo, Danville, Morage, Orinda, Lafayette and there is nothing happening in therms of crime remotely comparable to what’s happening in Antioch. This is because a lot of those fine folks from Oakland have moved here after the Oakland PD cracked down on their gangs. Now, Antioch has become a ghetto. Just look around you.

Get your head out of the sand. I have a of “relatives and friends” that work in law enforcement/FD in Alamo, Danville, Moraga and Orinda. They’ll tell you things happen that NEVER make the news. I also have friends that live in Danville and Blackhawk that have been burglarized multiple times. One was an armed intruder who broke down the door. Didn’t read about that on the news did you? There have been multiple murders in the cities you listed also. Most of the residents in those places are completely oblivious to what’s happening their area because none of it gets reported. And more importantly, many of those people don’t want to see their city in the news. They’d rather hear about crime in “other” cities. It makes them feel better about their mortgage. Look at the population of the cities you listed vs the population of Antioch. You really think you can compare cities of 20,000 with over 120,000? Do yourself a favor and watch a movie like Nightcrawler with Jake Gyllenhaal. You’ll get an insight of the dynamics of media, ratings, and advertising revenue. The grass isn’t greener anywhere else.

This was at a ” night club” , after reports of people fighting in the parking lot, it wasn’t random.
